Parliament has adopted a new law to reduce the duration of unemployment benefit in the event of a conventional break-up.
The rules surrounding the break-up of the treaty were tightened, following the vote of the parliamentarians, on Tuesday, 2 June. The National Assembly adopted, by 353 votes to 114, a reform reducing the duration of unemployment compensation in the event of a conventional break-up.
The text transposing an agreement concluded between the social partners had been rejected in mid-April because of the lack of mobilization of government troops in the Assembly. It provides, in particular, for the reduction of the maximum period of compensation for beneficiaries under 55 from 18 to 15 months. Parliament has decided: the duration of unemployment benefit will be reduced by several months in the event of a conventional breakdown and will increase from 18 to 15 months for those under 55.
