The mood in Germany is getting more and more aggressive, people are retreating into the private world, the "we-feeling is getting lost," shows a new study. However, there are also ideas on how to change this again.

More and more Germans see the social climate as aggressive and hostile – and draw consequences. Certain people from the social environment are "sorted out." Young people in particular find it difficult to endure different opinions.

Many Germans fear negative consequences if they dare to express themselves politically. For example, 1 in 3 Germans has had to keep their political opinions to themselves in the past due to fear of consequences.
