Yesterday, Dunedin motorists queue in large numbers at the Northgate Waitomo petrol station in Cumberland St to get the best deals on petrol as the Matariki holiday weekend gets into full swing. Over the course of this year, unleaded 91 prices have touched almost $4 a litre, but it appears the worst of it has subsided, prices in Dunedin ranging from $2.67 to $3.19 yesterday.
