KLM cancels 80 flights from and to Amsterdam Schiphol on Friday, as snowfalls are expected again in the Netherlands. As the Dutch subsidiary of the airline group Air France KLM announced on Thursday, the flights will be cancelled preventively.
Around 300,000 travelers have been unable to continue their journeys as planned since the onset of winter weather last week, KLM reports. Most passengers have since been rebooked, according to the airline. On Thursday, the airline transported more than 100,000 passengers.

KLM should have communicated better with passengers who got stranded at Schiphol this week, Marjan Lintel, CEO of the Dutch airline, said on Pauw & De Wit on Thursday. Thousands of flights were canceled due to snow and strong winds. Schiphol’s site lists another 80 canceled flights for Friday, mostly KLM flights.
