‘Snowfall’ Spinoff Exploring ’90s West Coast Rap Scene Ordered At FX
The spinoff explores a recovering addict's effort to mainstream West Coast rap amid 1990s gang wars and industry exploitation, continuing the Snowfall universe.
- FX has ordered an untitled Snowfall spinoff to series, set to premiere next year on FX and Hulu with Gail Bean and Isaiah John reprising their roles.

 - Set in 1990s Los Angeles, the spinoff follows a recovering addict striving to take West Coast rap mainstream amid gang wars and record-label exploitation, and it will stream on Hulu.
 - Malcolm Spellman will write and executive produce the series with Snowfall executive producers Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London and Trevor Engelson, and FX Productions will produce the spinoff continuing John Singleton and Eric Amadio's franchise.
 - Building on Snowfall's six-season run, the spinoff is expected to follow a similar 10-episode pattern, FX president Nick Grad said the series returns to the birth of the West Coast rap revolution.
