Snowbirds touch down at North Saanich museum ahead of Victoria flying show

On August 2 and 3, the Aviation Museum in North Saanich hosts an annual open house at 1910 Norseman Rd., featuring special appearances by The Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
Sidney resident Maj.-Gen. Glen Younghusband, the first team leader in 1971 and 1972, will attend the unveiling of the Aviation Museum's fully restored CT-114 Tutor jet, Snowbird 1.
Alongside food trucks and vendors, the event includes autograph sessions with Current Snowbirds around 2 p.m. and visiting aircraft including Kelowna's Centre of Excellence DC3, Warplane Heritage Canso, a Cessna, and a Fleet 2.
On August 4, the current Snowbirds team takes to the skies over Dallas Road at 5 p.m. for a full airshow, potentially marking the final Vancouver Island performance before Tutor retirement.
Previously, The Canadian Forces Snowbirds performed at the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach, California, on October 5, 2025. The North Saanich event also features birds of prey and re-enactments.
