Smoking weed could lead to less drinking, new study suggests

Participants drank up to 33% less alcohol after smoking high-THC cannabis in a controlled trial testing cannabis-alcohol interactions, researchers said.

“California sober” — using marijuana and other drugs, but not alcohol — has become trendy. Researchers attribute its popularity to the growing legalization and availability of cannabis.
