The Smithsonian on Tuesday named Lynda Roscoe Hartigan, currently the executive director and CEO of the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, as the next Margaret and Terry Stent Director of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM).
