Location of the earthquake that took place north of Morinville on April 1, 2026. A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit central Alberta yesterday evening, causing a small shake felt across the region. The epicentre of the quake was 18 kilometres northeast of Morinville and approximately 28 kilometres northwest of Fort Saskatchewan.
