Police officers involved in a deadly shooting in September 2025 in West Jordan won’t face charges, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill announced no criminal charges will be filed after a Sept. 2, 2025, officer-involved shooting in West Jordan that left a suspect dead. Gill outlined investigators’ findings at a press conference on Sept. 4, 2026.
The Salt Lake County prosecution decided not to press charges following an independent review of the use of lethal force by JSOG in 2025.
