The Research Group on Prevention and Health in Exercise and Sport (PHES) of the Universitat de València, led by Juan Carlos Colado, professor of the Department of Physical and Sports Education, has shown that 16 weeks of strength training with elastic bands improves "significantly" bone health, muscle strength and balance of older people. On the other hand, people who did not exercise during the same period worsened in all the markers analyzed.
