Residents of the tenement building at 24 Prusa Street in the Bałuty district of Łódź have been living without running water for months. The building was closed because, as the Municipal Housing Authority explains, further renovations are uneconomical. One of the tenants, Ms. Monika, was offered an alternative apartment on Nawrot Street. She refused, and the case has now gone to court.
