Víctor Méndez Huicab stepped onto the platform thinking about more than just gold. The Valladolid native had a historic performance in weightlifting at the 2026 CONADE National Olympics, winning three gold medals and setting Pan American records in his category, on a day when Eduardo Vidal Aguirre also took home three gold medals. Víctor only needed one lift in each category to secure gold in the Under-17 60 kg division.
