After a turbulent last season and the period after it, member hockey in Jesenice will be saved by HD Jesenice mladi (under the name HD.Jesenice). The ironworkers will, as in recent years, play in the Alpine League. They played their opening match on Saturday away to last season's KHL semi-finalist Sisak and lost 2:3. The Italian Val Gardena defends the trophy, which defeated Merano 4:0 in the final.
