1.08 crore voters may be excluded from Karnataka's first draft electoral roll
The Election Commission's SIR exercise has marked 1.08 crore voters from Karnataka for likely exclusion from the first draft roll to be published on August 24. The roll publication will open a month-long window for claims, objections and corrections.
The names of 10.8 million voters are likely to be removed from the first draft voter list in Karnataka. Over 55.4 million forms were distributed in the state, of which approximately 44.6 million have been digitized.
