Sir David Attenborough not slowing down at 100 as energy remains ‘strong as ever’
The broadcaster says his energy and curiosity remain strong as he continues producing acclaimed nature programs and thanking supporters worldwide.
Broadcaster Sir David Attenborough celebrated his 100th birthday on May 8, remaining active at the BBC and continuing to inspire global audiences.
Attenborough began his career at the BBC in 1952, launching the documentary series Zoo Quest two years later to establish his early prominence.
His professional accolades include an Emmy nomination for PBS' The Living Planet in 1985, a win for Blue Planet in 2016, and recognition for Netflix's Our Planet in 2019.
Director Keith Scholey, who worked with Sir David for over 40 years, said his "energy, curiosity and passion for the natural world" remain undiminished at 100.
Issuing a grateful message through the BBC, Sir David thanked the public, noting he had "thought that I would celebrate my 100th birthday quietly.
