Since 2022, Russia has been pursuing anti-war citizens not only within the country but also outside the country; in Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia and even in Venezuela and Viet Nam, critics of the Kremlin and deserters have been detained, prevented from entering the country, deprived of VAW, tried to extradite or smuggled to Russia. New Europe has recorded at least 122 public cases of such transnational repression.
