Christos Frantzeskakis climbed to the second step of the podium at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, after a very good performance in the hammer throw final. The Greek champion sent the hammer to 77.59m on his fourth attempt, finishing the race just 40cm behind the winner, the Cypriot Iosif Kesidis, who had a throw of 77.99m.
