Landslide Hits Naga–Tosa Road in North Sikkim
A landslide occurred during the intervening night of September 5 and 6 along a new road cutting of the Naga–Tosa Road in the Naga Forest area of North Sikkim, opposite the Theng Tunnel. The landslide struck near the confluence of the Teesta and Chyakoong rivers, partially blocking the flow of both rivers and causing water to accumulate in the area. No loss of life or injuries have been reported from the affected area so far.
