The Directorate for Infrastructure has announced an eight-month complete closure of the state road at the Kluže fortress in the Bovec region due to the rehabilitation of rocky slopes. The work is expected to begin on November 3, and the duration will be announced later.
At the Kluže fortress in the municipality of Bovec, work is expected to begin on Wednesday on the bank of the Predel-Bovec state road, which will require longer-term complete closures. Since the Vršič pass is often impassable in winter, residents fear that they will be cut off from the world during this time, so they are collecting signatures against the complete closure.
