Two Civil War soldiers are buried side by side in the Sidney Cemetery. One fought for the north and one for the south. Samuel Williams - Confederate Soldier and A.L. Stitt - Union Soldier. Flags have been placed on all Veteran graves for Memorial Day. The poppy wreath honors all Veterans buried in the cemetery.
