Shubhanshu Shukla Returns Home After Axiom-4 Mission, Receives a Warm Welcome at Delhi Airport

On Sunday, Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla returned to India at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, where he was received by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and senior ISRO officials.
Launched on June 25 from Florida, the Axiom-4 mission docked at the ISS on June 26, resuming human spaceflight for India, Poland, and Hungary after over four decades.
Together with Peggy Whitson, Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski and Tibor Kapu, Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla performed over 60 experiments and 20 outreach sessions aboard the ISS.
Next, he is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the coming days and will travel to Lucknow to reunite with his family.
Ahead of the event, he said he plans to share experiences to support India's Gaganyaan programme during National Space Day celebrations on August 22.
