SHS students participate in National Day of Prayer
Sheridan High School students in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter greeted students arriving to school with a free donut if they write down a prayer during National Day of Prayer Thursday. The event culminated with students praying around the flagpole at 7:50 a.m.
Crestview participates in National Day of Prayer
On July 4, 1952, President Harry S. Truman proclaimed that the day be known as the National Day of Prayer. That date later changed to the first Thursday of May under President Ronald Reagan. The city of Crestview acknowledged the day and turned to God in prayer at the Crestview Courthouse steps.
