- On Thursday, BC Hydro began preliminary restoration activities across Big Bar Complex and Brunswick Complex areas affected by wildfires, including civil work, access preparation, and material staging.
- Lightning struck near Fiftynine Creek earlier this month, igniting two wildfires that merged and later combined with the Anderson Creek fire last week, creating the Ainslie Creek wildfire at 30,085.9 hectares and Brunswick Creek fire at 7,397 hectares.
- Damage assessments identified approximately 230 distribution poles and 200 transmission poles damaged in Big Bar Complex and approximately 34 poles in Brunswick Complex, leaving roughly 1,100 and 100 customers without power respectively.
- BC Hydro estimates Clinton could be re-energized within approximately two weeks subject to fire conditions, while Mayor Roland Stanke told CBC's Radio West assessments should complete in about two or three days.
- Forest fuels remain very dry and significant rain would be required to meaningfully reduce risk, according to BCWS, as the Brunswick and Ainslie Creek wildfires remain active on either side of the Fraser Canyon.
