Shook remembered as an avid community volunteer with a great sense of humor

James Stephen Shook was born Sept. 24, 1941 and passed away May 27, 2026. Over his lifetime of 84 years he accomplished many things, beginning at the age of 11 when he, his mother and father, sister Susan and dog Bitsy drove up the Alcan for his father to accept a job at Fort Richardson, near Anchorage.
