Women are just as likely to experience unexpected expenses as men, but they are more financially and emotionally burdened, according to the representative joint survey by Cofidis and NRC, Hitel Monitor. One in two women currently has no savings to draw on in the event of a sudden expense. Half of those affected experience stress and a third experience anxiety in such a situation.
Unexpected expenses affect women and men with similar frequency, but they place a significantly greater burden on women, both financially and emotionally. Currently, one in two women lacks the reserves they could draw on in the event of a sudden expense.
