CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR — On Friday, July 18, 2025, at around 10:15 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a location on the north bank of the Sandy River where a family had reported that they were stranded. The three adults and two children, ages 9 and 13, became stranded after floating on the river near Dodge Park. They had no water, no warm clothing and one of the children needed critical medications.
