BAYTOWN, Texas (KIAH) – The Baytown Fire Department responded to a tank fire which led to a shelter-in-place order being issued for residents in the Evergreen Fairways and Trinity Oaks subdivisions. Shelter in place order lifted for Baytown subdivisions following tank fire
The crews contained the fire and cooled the surrounding tanks to prevent the blaze spreading. The fire department's hazmat team also conducted air monitoring in the area while the shelter-in-place order was effective.
