Shell raises guidance for Q2 integrated gas production

Shell said gas trading results are set to be significantly higher as Pearl GTL remains offline after attack damage.

  • On Tuesday, Shell raised its integrated gas production guidance for the second quarter despite ongoing output disruptions in Qatar caused by the Middle East conflict.
  • Production at Shell's Pearl gas-to-liquids facility in Qatar remained offline since mid-March following attacks, representing about 10% of the company's global oil and gas volumes.
  • Second-Quarter integrated gas output is projected between about 610,000 and 650,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, down around 30% from the 909,000 boed produced in the first quarter.
  • Gas trading results are set to be "significantly higher" than the first quarter, while oil trading profits remained in line with strong prior results, Shell said.
  • Shell shares faced recent volatility as oil prices recovered to around $73 a barrel, with final second-quarter results scheduled for publication on July 30, 2026.
