On Wednesday, air traffic had been suspended for several hours at El Paso International Airport, Texas, after the alleged detection of Mexican cartel drones in American airspace, the federal authorities said. The flights, initially announced as interrupted for ten days for "special security reasons", finally resumed much earlier, in a context of confusion and political controversy around the real threat.
