Six Children Survive Crash that Claimed Life of Oklahoma Mother
All six children survived, and the family is working to reunite them while police investigate the cause of the rollover crash.
On Thursday, a 25-year-old mother named Kaitie died in a rollover crash in Choctaw, Okla. Her six children, who were inside the vehicle, all survived the accident.
Kristen Tabor, the victim's sister, received the notification Thursday night. Five of the children are currently in state custody, while the 3-month-old baby is with another sister.
The 3-month-old daughter was ejected during the crash but walked away with no injuries. Kristen said of her sister, "She was always there for everyone. She'll give the shirt she has on her back for everyone."
Choctaw police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash. The family is working to secure custody of the children and lay their mother to rest.
