Shanmugam urges opposition parties to 'immediately, clearly' reject foreign interference and identity politics

Minister K Shanmugam criticized the Workers' Party for a delayed response to foreign religious and political interference targeting Malay-Muslim voters in Singapore's 2025 election.

Singapore's Home Affairs Minister referred to statements during GE2025 by Islamic preacher Noor Deros and politicians from Malaysia’s Islamist party, and what he said was the delayed and "ambiguous" response to these from the Workers' Party.
