- CAB treasurer Sanjay Das will present Shami with a cricket ball autographed by CAB president Sourav Ganguly, a customized jersey, and a silver salver. "Shami is pride of Bengal cricket and an absolute legend," Das told the Press Trust of India.
- Shami played a pivotal role in East Zone's march to the final, claiming five wickets against Central Zone in the semifinal following a Ranji season where he claimed 37 wickets across seven matches.
- While attempting a comeback to the Indian side, Shami becomes only the sixth Indian fast bowler to reach 100 first-class appearances, having last played in the March 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final.
