Newark Valley hit hard by flash flooding

NEWARK VALLEY, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – The Village of Newark Valley was hit particularly hard by the storm Sunday night, with severe flooding in some areas. Newark Valley Mayor James Tornatore says the main areas affected were Brook Street and Rock Street, with Main Street sustaining damage as well. Crews are currently working on cleaning up the affected areas.
