On Friday at 1:43 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 9 p.m. for Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Hampden, Hampshire, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk and Worcester counties.
