South Korea Says Russian Military Planes Entered Its Air Defence Zone

- In late June, nearly 10 Chinese and Russian aircraft entered the KADIZ. Beijing's defense ministry called it a "strategic air patrol" over the East China Sea, while Russia's defense ministry said it was "not directed against third countries."
- Following the unauthorized entry, the South Korean defense ministry lodged strong protests with Beijing and Moscow. Officials demanded that both governments take measures to prevent any future recurrence of such incursions.
