German Toddler Dies After Water Slide Fall in Croatia
LOPAR, CROATIA, JUL 22 – A 21-month-old German toddler died after falling about 3.5 meters onto concrete from a water slide; authorities are investigating slide safety and possible defects.

- Despite emergency procedures and intensive medical treatment, the toddler passed away in the early morning due to severe trauma affecting the brain and internal organs.
- Zdenko Jakuc, the mayor of Lopar, expressed that the community is deeply affected by the incident, while Josip Ivanić, the waterpark owner, mentioned that such a serious accident had not occurred in more than two decades.
- Officials from the Primorje-Gorski Kotar police are looking into the case to determine what caused the incident, while a representative from the waterpark stated that nothing like this has occurred there before.
