Air ambulance plunges into eastern India forest, killing 7
The air ambulance crashed in a forest near Chatra district, killing all seven onboard, including two pilots and a critically ill patient, amid suspected thunderstorm turbulence.
- All seven people on board a Beechcraft air ambulance that crashed in the Indian state of Jharkhand on Monday were killed, officials said on Tuesday.
- The aircraft, operated by Redbird Airways, took off from Ranchi but requested a change to its flight path due to weather and subsequently lost communication and radar contact.
- A team from India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has been dispatched to investigate the cause, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said.
