More than 20,000 hectares of native vegetation, pastures, and crops have been consumed by wildfires in the department of Tolima, in west-central Colombia, where the emergency has also affected homes. Governor Adriana Matiz reported that 22 fires are burning in 14 municipalities and that at least 50 homes have been damaged. "We have 22 wildfires in 14 municipalities of our department," the official stated.
