Napoli Stay Third After Late Goal Earns 2-2 Draw with Roma

On Feb. 15, Napoli debutant Alisson Santos scored a late equaliser to salvage a 2-2 home draw with AS Roma, keeping Napoli third in the Serie A standings after 25 rounds.
After an early break set up by Evan Ndicka, Roma striker Donyell Malen opened in the seventh minute and converted a 71st-minute penalty, taking his tally to five in five games.
Spinazzola then levelled before Alisson Santos's late strike; Santos, on his Napoli debut from Sporting, scored an 82nd-minute right-footed shot from about 25 meters.
With Roma pushing for a historic away win, Donyell Malen's penalty had put Roma on course for their first away win at Napoli in eight years, but Robinio Vaz missed late chances to restore the lead.
The result leaves Napoli in the title mix but trailing leaders Inter Milan by 11 points and nearest rival AC Milan by three points, with AC Milan holding a game in hand.
