Independent EspañolSANTIAGO (AP) — A court in Santiago ruled Tuesday that the criminal proceedings against Sergio Jadue, the former president of Chilean football, who was investigated for tax offences and misappropriation as a result of FIFA Gate, which a decade ago uncovered one of the worst scandals in Chile, should cease.
The former leader, who has been out of the country for a decade due to the ‘FIFA Gate’ scandal, achieves a legal victory after a court decreed the statute of limitations had expired on the cases for tax crimes and misappropriation.
