The BSE SmallCap Select index fell 1.90%, while the MidCap Select index declined 1.39%.
The stock market has been in a state of disarray for the second consecutive day. Rising crude oil prices and selling by foreign investors have pushed the Sensex and Nifty near six-month lows.
