Senate to Vote on Resolution to Halt the Iran War as Gas Prices Upend Midterms

The Senate could vote as soon as Thursday to demand President Donald Trump end the war in Iran or seek Congress' authorization to continue it, as Democrats tee up a vote on the unpopular conflict before November.

Candidates Zach Nunn and Marjorie Miller-Meeks face competitive re-election races in November, when 35 of 100 Senate seats are up for grabs, making this vote Democrats' final opportunity to challenge GOP opponents before the midterms.
