The Court of Auditors has just published the first comprehensive review of public aid granted to the semiconductor industry between 2018 and 2025. Despite €8.7 billion committed, the benefits remain difficult to measure.
This Monday, the highest financial court of the administrative order unveiled its first report on aid to the strategic sector of semiconductors. At a time when voices are rising in Europe for a Chips Act II , the Court of Auditors calls for a better framework of public funding through a series of seven recommendations.
