Former Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı was released from Edirne Prison. Speaking upon his release, Mızraklı claimed that "Turkey is going through a critical period" and stated that the separatist opening process "must be conducted transparently." Mızraklı added, "For us to be able to see what lies ahead, the process needs to be made transparent and information needs to be increased."
