Second arrest made in connection with murder of Donna Keogh
A 62-year-old man was arrested in the Manchester area as detectives continue inquiries into the 1998 disappearance and suspected murder.
- On Friday, Cleveland Police detectives arrested a 62-year-old man in the Manchester area in connection with the 1998 murder of Donna Keogh. The suspect remains in police custody for questioning.
- Earlier this year, officers arrested a 64-year-old man from the Leeds area on suspicion of the same murder. That individual remains on police bail while enquiries in the region continue.
- Donna was 17 years old when she vanished from Middlesbrough on April 28, 1998. Officers strongly suspect she was murdered shortly after she disappeared, though her body has never been found.
- Deputy Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Evan Kirtley urged the public to contact police with information, as a £20,000 Crimestoppers reward remains available. He said, "Somebody out there knows what happened and could tell us."
- Donna's family has endured nearly 30 years of unbearable uncertainty seeking answers. Her father, Brian, died last year after a relentless battle for information about what happened to his daughter.
