In the Frisian municipality of Dantumadiel, no new mayor will be appointed for the time being, because there are too few suitable candidates. The Frisian King's Commissioner Arno Brok has decided to stop the procedure until after the municipal elections in 2026. It is the first time in ten years that there are not enough suitable candidates, says Brok. In 2015, this was the last time on Vlieland.
