Babysitter Arrested, Accused of Kidnapping 2 Young Sisters, Police Say
Police say the sisters may be in extreme danger after an Amber Alert was issued and investigators searched for a white Ford F-350, officials said.
- On Monday, the Atlanta Police Department issued an AMBER Alert for 4-year-old Zola Cooper and 11-month-old Norah Cooper, who were allegedly abducted by their babysitter on Saturday.
- Investigators believe the sisters were taken around 6 p.m. Saturday from the 300 block of James P. Brawley Drive Northwest by their babysitter, Lakesha Brown.
- Brown is reportedly driving a 2009 white Ford F350 with Alabama license tag IC087Y4, and authorities described the children as critically missing and in extreme danger.
- Family members confirmed to local news on Monday that both girls were found safe and are currently being reunited with their mother at the hospital.
- The Atlanta Police Department's Special Victims Unit, which managed the investigation, confirmed the sisters are receiving care at the hospital following their safe recovery.
