Seaford combines recreation, outreach in unique use of opioid settlement funds

The city of Seaford, the former DuPont nylon-capital that has largely been devoid of industry since the early 2000s, has consistently struggled with gun violence and drug misuse incidents. After having dealt first-hand with these challenges in his community for nearly three decades, Seaford Police Chief Marshall Craft saw an opportunity for change: funds from Delaware’s Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission (POSDC).
