Sderot: 'Noam, our hero, the entire city is crying for you'

Captain Noam Madmoni, who fell yesterday in battle in southern Lebanon, was laid to rest today in the cemetery in Sderot • His mother paid tribute to him: "You told me: 'I'm going to Lebanon, mother, to this damned country.' Last Tuesday you called and said: 'Mother, I'm out of touch.'"

Hundreds came to the military cemeteries in Bat Yam, Lehavim and Sderot to pay their respects to the soldiers killed in the battle in southern Lebanon. Captain Madmoni's commander paid tribute to him via the red phone: "God does not share his choices with us, but you are his best fruit, I learned from you about love, about friendship, you will always be in my heart."
